Elfins is the group for 5 to 9 year olds and the emphasis is on the traditional Woodcraft principles of co-operation and friendship. This is achieved by empowering the young people to take an active role in all activities. These activities include various crafts such as candle making, glass painting, t-shirt printing and salt dough making, skills such as personal safety and a variety of games.
Some of the meetings are held at the Fernhill allotments where games and skills relating to wildlife and the outdoors can be enjoyed. The Elfins have taken part in Mini-Olympics, Teddy Bears Picnic and making things such as dream catchers and mud pictures.
At least once a term the Elfins will go to either the Taro centre or the outdoor pool in Petersfield for a swim. We sometimes have a trip to Playzone in Portsmouth and we enter the Liss Carnival every year.
