This week…..Ice Skating!!!…

This week we will be Ice Skating at Guildford Spectrum. If your child would like to attend please send me an e-mail so that I’ve got names of those attending. I need to confirm final numbers by Wednesday 24th October so a response before that would be great. I also need to know if you would like to go on the ice as an adult. Please email brian@lisswoodcraftfolk.org.uk

When:       Friday 26th October

At:               Guildford Spectrum, Parkway,      Guildford, Surrey, GU1 1UP

Time:         6.30pm – 8.00pm

Cost:         £6.00 per child, skates included

£6.00 per adult, skates included

Please ensure your child knows their shoe size.

Please ensure your child wears clothing suitable for ice-skating – a warm coat, gloves and thick socks so that the skates feel comfortable.

Adults are very welcome to accompany their child on the ice. Young children in particular need support on this activity. For non-skaters there are some plastic penguins available that help children stay upright. However, these are limited in number and we’re not guaranteed to have any.

Last booking due Wednesday 24th October

(We have to let Guildford Spectrum know how many we are taking in advance, therefore we can’t take bookings after this date)

This activity is OPEN TO ALL GROUPS, please note that there will be no alternative session at the Triangle Centre

Please print the below form and send with your child on Friday.

This week….CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

The plan is for some games and campfire food at Fernhill allotments this Friday (directions below). The children usually enjoy the opportunity to charge around outdoors.

[important]Firewood
We need some fire wood to be able to have our campfire so I would really appreciate it if anybody who has some or can find some could bring it along on Friday or deposit at the allotment beforehand.[/important]

Torches
Please bring torches and wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. The grass is pretty long so wellies might be best.

Cancellation
There is no alternative venue booked so if it is terrible weather we will cancel, only if it really is terrible though! Keep an eye on emails and the website on Friday afternoon if it looks iffy.

Parking
The allotment is near the bottom of Duckmead lane, but is best accessed from Mint Road where there is more space to park. Please park considerately on Mint Road and be really careful using the foot crossing over the railway line. Please do not bring your car into the allotments, there is very limited space which is needed for people dropping off equipment/stuff.

Contact
Emergency contact on Friday evening is Georgia on 07803 139728

I look forward to seeing you on Friday night and will keep my fingers crossed for reasonable weather.

Camp – Directions

Finding the site is relatively straightforward. Take the A272 towards Midhurst. Go through Midhurst on the A272 until you see the sign towards Lodsworth on your left. Go through Lodsworth until you get to a village called Lickfold. Just after this village you’ll see the signs to the village of Lurgashall. There’s a big village green in Lurgashall with a pub called the Noah’s Ark. To the right of the pub there’s a little lane which takes you directly to Park Farm which is about 800 yards on the right. Park Farm is marked on the OS Map at 938275.
