This week it is panto!!!!

It’s the final Friday of our autumn term programme and what a cracker it promises to be. It’s panto night!

This week we have a touring theatre group for your children’s entertainment. They will be performing Aladdin.

The children will need to arrive at The Triangle Centre at 6.30pm. Please don’t turn up any earlier as the group will be setting up and we’ll be wheeling in scenary, props etc and that’s easier without the children.

Once everyone is seated the performance will start at approximately 6.45pm. The panto is likely to be an hour long but we will break half way through for food and drinks. It would be great if you could send in your child with a plate of party food to share.

Please turn up at 8pm to pick up your child after the performance.

I did get asked by a few parents last week if their children could bring along friends. That’s fine but we’ll have to charge a one off entry fee of £2.50 / friend to help us meet some of the costs of the theatre group.

I look forward to seeing as many children as possible on Friday.

Best wishes

Brian

This week….change of plan…

Due to the weather forecast for Friday, we have decided to not go for a night walk! We will instead meet at the triangle centre and have an “old school” woodcraft night of traditional games, Lego, crafts and some baking in the kitchen. We’ll also have chips as originally planned even without the walk!

This week we are at Butser Ancient Farm

We’ve got a very special Friday evening planned this week. We’ve managed to obtain the large round house at Butser Ancient Farm for the evening to provide a fantastic setting for a great night of entertainment.

We’ll have the fire burning early so that the round house is very warm and cosy.

We’ve got:

  • Hot Chocolate
  • Marshmallows to toast on an open fire
  • A professional drummer with a large number of African drums so the children can have a go at beating out some rhythms across the countryside
  • Story tellers of the highest calibre ready to excite your children with tales of daring adventures

The session for the younger children will start at 6pm and finish at 7.30pm this week. The session for the older children will start at 7.45pm and finish at 9.15pm. To bring your children along come off the A3M at the Clanfield exit and the Butser Ancient Farm is clearly signposted. There is a large car park on site.

We hope you agree that the above should be a fantastic night out for the children.

Could you send me an e-mail back so that I know how many gallons of hot chocolate and bucketsful of marshmallows to bring along. brian@lisswoodcraftfolk.org.uk

Sounds fun doesn’t it?
