Elfins

Elfins is the group for 4 to 8 year olds which runs 6pm – 8pm on a Friday evening, usually (but not always) at the Triangle Centre in Liss. The group has an emphasis on the traditional Woodcraft principles of co-operation and friendship. With a wide range of activities, the children’s confidence grows as they try new things.
Activities include:
- Craft activities are a core part of our sessions allowing children to be creative, examples include candle making, decorating t-shirts, painting and modelling.
- Cooking projects most weeks to give children a chance to learn skills and eat their creations!
- Outside activities at our own space at Fernhill Allotments allows children to get closer to nature and to let off some steam (often with a BBQ!)
Specialist sessions from experts invited in to give us some unique experiences, recent examples include an excellent African drumming session and a fascinating talk from a reptile expert (with a chance to handle the animals).- Games. Parachute games, indoor football, table tennis and lots more.
- Outings: Elfins join with the older Woodcraft groups for some great outings (sometimes we ask for an adult to come with them). Last year outings included swimming at Petersfield’s outdoor pool, a train ride to buy fish and chips in Gosport, ten pin bowling and a teddy bear’s picnic at QE Country Park.
